The system works, but if you live in an area with strong sunlight and high temperatures you must protect the timer from direct sunlight. Repeated exposure will destroy the controller, so position it in a shady spot, under foliage, or fashion a protective hood.

This is a straight forward 2 outlet water timer, which gives you easy to program automated watering for 2 separate zones.

If additional zones are needed (such as 2 in the front and 2 in the back), simply buy a second unit, attach it to the second faucet, and schedule it to run at a different time to ensure even water pressure to each zone.

Each watering session can last up to 6 hours, and multiple sessions on the same day are allowed for.Handles rain delays, and at the press of a button one outlet becomes manual allowing for additional hand watering, car washing etc

This unit does have a protective cover over the controller, but like other similar units it will fail if subjected to direct sunlight, so make sure they are installed in a shaded spot or set up some sort of protective hood to keep it out of hot direct sunlight.

You might want to use a little plumbers tape on the inlets and outlets to ensure a drip free connection.
